Memories--- AbOut ALL We GoT RigHt NoW
Another loss to another rival division foe. The stinkin' Giants beat us today, which I guess is the cool thing to do these days. Everyones doing it. Its ok. Actually, nah. This sucks. RIP season
Times like these makes me want to block out all the Eagle Haters out there, and send this post out to all of you long time fan. I give to you die hards a list of some memorable Eagle players/characters/ coaches/ memories. Here we go.................................
- The VET TURF-- This was like playing football in a parking lot. I loved hearing opponents bitch out when it came to playing the deceased Veterans Stadium. It was responsible for the END of that cockroach Michael Irvins career. You could also see the bases stick out in the middle of the field. Sometimes I feel like i was raised at that place. I loved the Vet.
- Angelo Cataldi and Ed Rendell leading a bunch of crazies to Boo the Drafting Of McNabb-- This was classic. A whole pack of drunk eagles fans took the trip up to NYC with 610 radio personality Cataldi. People were sweating Ricky Williams, even the current mayor of the city, Rendell. It was a sign for things to come for donny MaC. He would continue to have personal challenges almost every year of his career. Ultimately, it would make him very stubborn. I think he stopped scrambling so much to prove a pointless point that he wouldnt be a running QB. So he stopped doing the most effective part of his game. Thanks moron.
- Beating the Falcons----Goin to the Super Bowl-- I was there. It was so joyous, it was all love. Nothing else in the world mattered, the Birds were going to Jacksonville. I was only a few rows back in my buddy's seats when the celebration was going on. I felt like i was on the team. Maybe like a 5th receiver/special teamer or something.
- Fans Chucking Snowballs and Batteries-- Oh yeah, I can remember that. That again was what the Vet was all about. You had to come strong back in those days or else you would crumble. Buddy Ryan had a hell of a defense that was feared. Who remembers the intimidation of that 700-level? Cant remember if i ever saw a game up there>?>?>?
- Hardest Hitter EVER Seen---- TIM HAUCK

- Biggest Bum as a Coach-- Ray Rhoades. Much worse than Kotite.
- Stan Walters or Mike Quick-- I give that one to Quick. He cracks me up. fyi(if you dont know)-- talking about the radio sidekicks of Merrill Reese.
- Biggest Eagle Killer-- 1. Ronde Barber 2. Jake Plummer 3. Joe Jurevicious.
- Greatest Merrill Call-- only one thing comes to my mind---- "and they stop 'em again"<-- stopping Emmitt Smith 4 times straight for a hell of a goal line stand.
- Sign Man at the Vet. This guy always had an opinion. He posted a new sign each week below his seats in big bold print that was clearly read by 9/10 of the stadium.
- Destroying the Lions in the playoff game many yearts ago where the Birds scored something like 50+ points.
- Most notable quotable -- Ricky Watters "For who, For what" Just catch the stinking ball man.
Thats enough reminiscing for one night. Im out. Gotta get some sleep.
